Utawarerumono is a Japanese Strategy-RPG (S-RPG) visual novel by Leaf which was released on April 26, 2002 for the PC. At the start of the game, the player is given a choice of four different difficulty levels from which to choose from which affects the difficulty of the battles the player must participate in. After completing the game once, the player is given an additional two even more challenging difficulty levels to choose from and may choose to skip the dialogue.
PC Version
Taking place 700 years before the events of "Ancient Ys Vanished" (Ys I & II), this game tells much of the back-story of Ys, Darm Tower, the Black Pearl, the twin goddesses and the six priests. The game revolves around three characters as they journey through Darm Tower: Yunica Tovah, Hugo Fact and Thor Fact . Each character has their own motives for climbing the tower and playing through with all three characters will reveal the entirety of the events taking place.
As in Ys III, Adol Christin and his friend Dogi are travelling to Dogi's hometown of Redmont three years after the events of the first two games. Upon arriving, they discover that evil happenings are threatening the townspeople, and it is up to Adol to put a stop to it.
The basic plot has been slightly modified from the original, and expanded through the use of additional scenes.
Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim) is a Japanese Action RPG developed and published by the Nihon Falcom Corporation and the sixth installment in the Ys video game series. It was first released in 2003 for Microsoft Windows-based personal computers. Not counting the Eternal/Complete remakes of Ys I & II, it was the first new Ys game released by Falcom in eight years.

The Ys series chronicles the adventures of Adol Christin, a red-haired young man with a zest for adventure and an uncanny knack for being in the right place at the right time. Gameplay usually revolves around Adol, though his comrade, Dogi, is a frequent companion in his travels around Esteria.
