Note that if you remove Printer Drivers, this will break support for ANY Printer... you will not be able to install any printer if you remove Printer Drivers (even if you have your own drivers). Same thing goes for (certain) Scanners... if you remove Scanner Drivers many scanners cannot be installed because they use MS driver components... Just saying in case you're not aware or other people aren't.

But this will be very nice nonetheless for older laptops or older computers with only a CD-ROM drive. But to whoever made this: maybe consider making one more version of this Lite OS, but with full support for printer/scanners, even if it makes the image bigger than 700mb.. it would be nice to have such a lite OS with full support for hardware. Thanks :D

OK, I just commented on his (the creator's) torrent. It is as I thought, people cannot install Printers (and some scanners). I posted there too.

So be aware: this release will not allow you to install any printers (and certain scanners). So only get this if you don't require printer support... He was not aware he broke printer support, which is kind of basic knowledge for people who make lite images, so use at your own discretion...

You're welcome. It's not as clear cut as I made it sound, some printers and/or some scanners may work, but in general it should be said that support has been broken or compromised in the least. For example, the creator's printer works on this build. But then another person comes and asks for help with their Brother machine, which won't install because it needs certain files that are present in a Full Windows but that have been taken out with this Lite build -- and that aren't provided in the hardware's specific drivers that you may have. When you try to install it will tell you files are missing.

So it's just to let people know if you take out Printer and Scanner drivers, things can mess up and you may be unable to install your hardware. And you certainly couldn't depend on this Lite image working over a range of hardware for different people. I make lite builds myself too, and hadn't hooked up my printer/scanner in 6 months, which was as long as I had been using the Win7 SP1 Lite I made for myself... only to find out I couldn't install my scanner driver with those builds... Sure enough, my hardware needed components normally present in Windows but taken out during the making of the lite build... So I had to remake my lite builds and this time around didn't touch anything that has to do with Printers and Drivers. :)

Thanks. It's good for old PC without DVD ROM and not support for USB boot but language packs cannot be installed which I need.
