SA Tutorial - How to use COMPILATION and MY BLOGS.

1. COMPILATION

Compilation - it's compilation from your favorite blogs.

Just Open any Blog - If u like the blog and want to see the articles from this Blog in your compilation - Click [connect].

For example - http://faq.softarchive.net



This way you can connect to many Blogs you wants. All article from Connected Blogs will be seen in your Compilation

If you are a regular Visitor of SA, You do not need to open your Favorite Blogs every day. All article from your favorite Blogs will be available in your Compilation.

SA now has a lot of PRIVATE blogs, the question arises: What if I don't want to see them in my COMPILATION but I want to have access to them at any time.

It's easy!

1) Open "MY BLOGS"



2) Find a BLOG which you want to remove from COMPILATION, but want to have access to this blog (without [connect] / [disconnect] every time)

Example with blog: "Lossless & mp3 music"



As seen in the screenshot above: Blog is PRIVATE, so i want to remove this blog from my COMPILATION and still have access to this blog!

Click on checkbox "Compilation"



Result:



Done! Blog "Lossless & mp3 music" has been removed from your COMPILATION, but you still have full access to blog.

2. MY BLOGS

MY BLOGS - it's page where I can manage ALL my blogs (To which i'm connected)



Q: What does it mean "(This blog have not updated more than 1 week)"?
A: It's mean: this blog have not updated (no new articles) more than a week. Perhaps this blog is "dead". As seen in the screenshot above: blogs "nurso" and "moivo" have [disconnect] link. I want to delete them from my blogs - click to [desconnect] link for blog "nurso" and "moivo", DONE!
Feature allows you remove all "dead" blogs from your page - "MY BLOGS".

Q: What does it mean "+27 or +9"?
A: Numbers show quantity of NEW articles in blog per last 24 hours.

    ... but am I the only one where this is totally useless?

    Because for me it simply doesn't work as it is supposed to do.
    I'm connected to a bunch of blogs for a long time and all I ever get to see in my compilation is one single page. One page and not more. Just last ten or so postings of all the blogs I'm connected to.

    It used to work in the very beginning when I connected to the first blogs. After connecting some more and some time passing by it just broke completely.

    So for me it seems that "you can connect to many Blogs you wants" is utter nonsense. Obviously the software cannot cope with this.

    The old site was great, I think too. I have many connected blogs, but the new site don't list all of this articles in my compilations, but if you would like to see your compilations articles for example from 23.08.2011, than write in the adress bar this: http://my.softarchive.net/23.08.2011/page-1/ and voilá! If you have more than one page, you would increase the number in the page. The old site can do this without this magic.

    I would like to delete some of the blogs out of 'My Blogs'.......... Can't find anything on how to do this...... Or is it that if you connect one time to a blog you get it in your list for Life??

    It's simple, click [disconnect] and this blog will be removed from "MY BLOGS"

    There is some cases where you are connected and still cant comment - and that really sux - But you have to get aprooval by the blog admin - when they get online
