TRB’s second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP 2) Report S2-L01-RR-2: Guide to Integrating Business Processes to Improve Travel Time Reliability explores various ways that transportation agencies could reengineer their day-to-day business practices to enhance traffic operations, address nonrecurring traffic congestion, and improve the reliability of travel times delivered to roadway system users. The research guide provides a detailed introduction to the business process mapping tool.
