This is somebody's overworked imagination. I work at a large university and this so-called student edition as stated above doesn't and never has existed. We have cases of student edition CDs and every one of them has a serial number and requires activation. I have asked numerous posters to provide me with an original cd of this supposed 'student edition' and no one in the last 5 years has been able to do so. And has anyone ever wondered why it has all the hacked additions/updates added. I would be very suspicious of these releases. Just want to warn you and give you straight information.

Installed this on a test pc, rebooted several times, all ok. Went to Microsoft Updates, installed all current updates. Passed WGA validation. Has updated since.
