Microsoft® Visual Basic® 6.0 is a language rapid application development environment that gives you fast, easy, and intuitive tools to quickly develop Windows® applications. Using Visual Basic, you can develop simple utilities or sophisticated applications. Data access features allow you to create databases, front-end applications, and scalable server-side components for most popular database formats. ActiveX® technologies allow you to use the functionality provided by other applications, and even automate applications and objects created using the Professional or Enterprise editions of Visual Basic. Internet capabilities make it easy to provide access to documents and applications across the Internet or intranet from within your application, or to create Internet server applications.

DirectSkin allows software developers to make their applications skinnable using WindowBlinds technology. A typical application can be turned into a skinnable one within a few minutes of integrating the DirectSkin OCX into the project.
Why DirectSkin?
By using DirectSkin, you can be assured of maximum compatibility with other applications running on your customer's systems. DirectSkin uses the same underlying technology as WindowBlinds, used by over 12 million people world wide -- in other words, it has been battle tested in the toughest environment possible.
Today’s program standards call for custom appearance. Customers also have a high desire for customization of their desktop. Both of these needs can be met with DirectSkin. With DirectSkin, the developer has the option of either setting a default skin without the custmoer being able to change the skin, or they can allow the customer to change the skin to their personal style.
Why should you allow the customer to change the skin? There is a high demand for customization features in today’s programs (this was proven by WinAmp). There is also another draw to allowing customers to change the skin on the program: Website stickiness. It is extremely easy to build a "skin community" by asking skin authors* to create and upload skins to your site. Since your skin library will be ever evolving, your customers will continue to visit your site to check out new skins. While they are there, you can provide information on product releases and so forth. This "sticky" site is also desirable to advertisers, as your page views will increase due to skin traffic.
All skins are the property of the skin Author. Authorization from the skin author must be obtained prior to including a skin with your software. Most skin authors will gladly give permission, but it is their property, and their decision to make.
Common Questions:
Q: What Programming languages are supported?
A: Any language that supports COM Objects (Delphi, VC, C++, VB, C#, VB.NET etc.)
Q: What operating systems are supported?
A: 32-bit Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista except Terminal Server are supported.Windows XP/2003/Vista X64 editions are also supported..
Q: How do I obtain a license, and what are the restrictions?
A: There are several forms of the license based on the individual need of the programmer. They are located in the "Licensing" section of this page. If you do not see a license that fits your need, or have a question about the license, please contact DirectSkin@stardock.com.
Q: Do the capabilities of DirectSkin differ from WindowBlinds?
A: Generally speaking, no. The features in each version number are the same. For instance, DirectSkin has the same features and capabilities as WindowBlinds 4.x. Some features may be implemented differently due to the difference between skinning a single application and the whole system.
MoleBoxis a software virtualization and protection tool that allows delivering your application as a portable stand-alone secure EXE file which runs instantly with zero installation.MoleBox packs all application files into a single efficient executable file that works without extracting packed files to the hard drive and creating temporary files. MoleBox also applies a number of protection techniques to packed files, including anti-crack protection for EXE and dlls, resource protection, protection from modification for data files, and many more.
Virtualization Features
* Creating portable versions of your application.
* Bundling entire application suite into a single binary which runs with zero installation. Molebox processes all application files in order to create a single executable file which keeps the functionality of the original program and works without extracting packed files to the hard drive.
* Avoiding DLL hell and version conflicts. Molebox embeds DLLs and activex components into the EXE file, making sure that your application will always use the same DLL versions it was compiled with. No 3rd party program can harm your app's functionality, and vice versa.
* Virtual registry. Virtual registry technology used in Molebox intercepts registry i/o operations. This allows using any embedded ActiveX components without registration on the client PC and also reduces compatibility risks.
* Running a DLL on application startup. One of the embedded DLLs (an 'activator' DLL) can be executed before the original EXE entry point. For example, you can integrate a 3rd party activation or licensing component without any changes to your program code.
* Easy creation and delivery of updates, patches, add-ons, level packs. When you release an update to your software and the whole installation package would be huge, you can distribute a small package containing only new or/and modified files.
Protection Features
* A number of protection techniques for the main executable. Molebox offers you protection from static reverse engineering and classic cracker's attacks (anti-debug, anti-dump, anti-trace), protection of the application entry point and import table.
* .NET protection. Molebox wraps .NET applications and makes them look like Win32 applications.
* Preventing antivirus 'false positives'. Moleboxed application may be masked as a common just-compiled, non-wrapped program.
* Protecting DLLs from unauthorized use. Molebox hides embedded DLLs and protects them from being reused by 3rd party software.
* Protecting media and data files from prying eyes. Games and multimedia presentations often include a lot of exclusive content: 3D models, textures, 2D images, custom fonts, photos, sound effects and music files. Obviously, you wouldn't like if someone else will use your media files. After moleboxing your game or presentation, these files cannot be viewed, extracted, modified or otherwise used by another person.
* Application integrity protection. Usage of the control sum ('CRC check') option will assure that your program and its data files were not modified or damaged.

Create Web pages from your exe programs.| Using your favorite programming language such as Visual Basic, Visual C++ etc |8 MB
TegoWeb Express lets you create Web pages from your .exe programs.
That is, you create an .exe program (using your favorite programming language such as Visual Basic, Visual C++, Delphi, or any other programming language you desire). Then, use TegoWeb Express to create a Web page from your .exe program.
It will take you only a few minutes to convert your .exe program to a Web page.
How powerful can your Web page be? Well, it is your .exe program. So your Web page is as powerful as your .exe program.
What type of Web pages can you create? Again, the Web page is your .exe program, only that TegoWeb Express converts your .exe program to a Web page program.
Features
The Web page that you will create with the TegoWeb Express product includes many important features. For example, when your user will visit your Web page, files will be downloaded automatically from your Web site to your user's machine. These files will be compressed files. Thus, the download time is short. These files will be downloaded only if your user does not already have these files. If you change your files, next time your user visits your page, only the modified files will be downloaded.
As another example, if you write your .exe program with Visual Basic, it means that to run your .exe program, your user needs the DLL runtime files of Visual Basic. The Web page that you will create with TegoWeb Express will first examine your user's machine. The required DLL files will be downloaded only if your user does not have these DLL files already (or has lesser versions).
If your .exe program uses ActiveX controls (OCX), the OCX files will be downloaded into your user's machine only if your user does not have these OCX files already (or has lesser versions). If needed, ActiveX/OCX/DLLs will be automatically registered on the user's machine.
From the point of view of your user, your user is visiting a regular Web page. Whatever has to be downloaded will be downloaded automatically. Everything is accomplished seamlessly.
The best way to see and understand the powerful features of TegoWeb Express is by experimenting with it and seeing it in action.
In the next pages you will be instructed to take an .exe program and to convert it to a Web page. Typically, the process of taking an .exe program and converting it to a Web page should take you between 3 to 5 minutes. However, in the next pages you will create a Web page step-by-step, in great details. So take your time when reading the tutorial.
We wish you a very pleasant journey into this very powerful and impressive Web technology.

Windows Software | Alloy 4.1.18.2010 Executable Compiler|11 MB
Alloy 4 gives software developer's the ability to distribute stand-alone executables. Alloy is a remarkable product which takes the hassle out of distributing software without separate runtime files. Very easy to use, fully compliant with Visual C++, Delphi, Visual Basic and many other programming languages. With Alloy your software products are much more reliable and compact for distribution.
As a software developer you often need to distribute files to your end-users, this means rapid deployment without having to distribute a large installation package. Alloy solves this problem of software deployment by embedding all dependent files into a single executable file. No installation of your software is required, all files are automatically extracted before your software runs and guarantees that your software is ready to run on the end-users machine.
By deploying with a single executable your product is easily distributed throughout your software user base and you are confident in knowing that all dependent files are properly available to the computer system. Make your software easier to use by deploying them using Alloy.
Alloy also includes a dependency scanner which allows you to quickly find which files you need to embed into your main executable and when you are ready to compile Alloy will compresses all dependent files into a single and compact file. With tight compression and a reliable dependency scanner you can distribute a smaller file to your end-users compared to traditional bloated installation utilities.
