This Olympic ceremonies give the PRC the opportunity to show to the world that they are in the same league with all nations, which doesnt please the christiants scums at all

The point I was trying to make wasn't that the other ceremonies have been bad - they've all been pretty great! But instead, our (British) Olympic organisers must now be seriously crapping themselves, cos there's no way in hell that we will be able to match either the man power or the money needed to put on a show like the Chinese!

Thanks. I certainly enjoyed the Opening Ceremony. Yes.. the other torch lighting ceremonies have been fantastic too... but I most certainly enjoyed watching this one. To me it seemed to be in perfect context to the rest of the ceremony. The theme of the paper scroll. The way the theme was continued on the side of the "Bird Nest" The unrolling scroll with moving images of the running of the olympic torch... the running athlete (in the air) and lighting the scroll (Flame)... Great.
If you are Chinese... you are rightly proud. A great overall ceremony.

#9 I take you are Chinese, but I don't have a problem with that. I've never missed an Olympic opening ceremony in my entire life. But I have to say this one is really boring, Sydney and Greece were way better and even Barcelona had a much cooler torch lighting, did you see that ? They light a torch by shooting burning a arrow, and that was awesome. And did you see the torch in Sydney, they use a waterfall to transmit the flame to the big torch, but u have to see that in your own eyes, it was the most amazing torch lighting of Olympic, they used some really cool tech to build that torch, search for that performance on youtube and u 'll that even just for the torch lighting part this year's can't be compared with sydney's. I was hoping to see something amazing in this year's Olympic open ceremony and it turned out to make me really disappointed, except for the part when they set types of Chinese character, the rest of the show made me feel asleep, though it was the first time I watch Olympic lived on HDTV. It seemed that much of the money were spent on firework and hiring people...to dance, but haven't we seen enough of firework and what's special about dancing ?

If you want to see a bad opening ceremony, just wait 4 years for the British Olympics!
