Total Commander Ultima Prime v4.0

This is an extended version of Total Commander 7 Copyright (c) 1993-2007 by Christian Ghisler. Total Commander Ultima Prime is a special distribution of Christian Ghisler's Total Commander with many useful third-party add-ons, plug-ins and customisations. It also contains extended main menu and toolbar, other programs, changed layout and other elements.

Total Commander Ultima Prime is a collection of the software and customized settings sets gathered in one installation package for enhancing Total Commander (file manager) possibilities. Our project differs from official distribution provided by Christian Ghisler on totalcmd Site
If you’d like to see and try our solution, you can download it from our servers and discuss about it on our forum’s board. We provide our customization work as freeware in the form as it is but please remember, that Total Commander itself is distributed as shareware. Please keep in mind, that other contained applications licenses might differ and not be proper for commercial purposes too. Detailed descriptions of the software can be found on the forum board.



Features :

The newest version brings another installer's code changes. Since now it is possible to start TC UP with operating system. Because of false alerts provided by antivirus applications, TC UP is installed with safe mode, without any suspicious files. To install whole project's content users should choose "full installation" mode. The project has gained WinContig application for deframenting files purpose. Advanced users should be satisfy with excellent log viewer called Tail for Win32. The way of providing additional informations in customized columns has been corrected. Some applications (Free Download Manager 2.5 build 755, Opera@USB 9.26, VirtualDub 1.8.0, XnView 1.92.1, TC UP ULTIMATE 1.3) and Total Commander's plugins have been updated to the newest versions.

Version 4.0 (2008 06 30)
- Added "Unlocker" tool for removing files locked by operating system - thanks to Cedrick Collomb for agreement to add his application to project.
- Added the possibility to change files extensions associations with all TC UP programs during installation.
- Added AIMP's tools under "Tools" menu.
- Extended "Thumbnails view" mode.
- "AIMP" has been updated to the newest version (2.50.247).
- "Miranda IM" has been updated to the newest version (0.8.0 alpha build #16 Unicode).
- "Notepad++" has been updated to the newest version (5.0.0).
- "Opera@USB" has been updated to the newest version (9.50).
- "System Info for Windows" has been updated to the newest version (Build 2008-06-04).
- "Universal Extractor" has been updated to the newest version (1.6 BETA Virtual_ManPL MOD).
- "WinMerge" has been updated to the newest version (2.8.4).
- Various plugins have been updated.
- Known bugs has been corrected.
