The question is far from rhetorical for Carter: Zoe's life is in immediate danger and Eva Thorne knows why. Trust is becoming a rare commodity in Eureka. Jo is unsure of her relationship with Zane while Carter and Allison wonder why Eva Thorne (Frances Fisher) is so secretive about the underground bunker. The bodies that were found there are to be shipped out, by Thorne's orders, before Henry can examine them. Thorne has ordered Dr. Hendricks to use his mysterious security system to defend the entire area. Carter hopes a photo from the Café Diem collection will supply a clue. Adding to the uncertainty, S.A.R.A.H. suddenly says Zoe is an intruder and cages her, claiming her DNA has been changed. Lexi thinks this proves that having an "intelligent" house is not very intelligent, but Fargo insists S.A.R.A.H. cannot make a mistake. While Jo and Zane try to find out what Hendricks has put into thousands of remotely triggered canisters, Allison diverts the bodies to Henry's garage where he uncovers something very disturbing about their deaths. He also discovers something Allison may have suspected but certainly did not know. Carter experiments with one of the canisters, accidentally trapping a feuding Jo and Zane at the foot with a super adhesive. When their help is most urgently needed, they are forced to work together — but it is not easy. What Fargo finds in the Café Diem photo leads Carter to Thorne. When he reveals he's called in General Mansfield, she is rattled. But when he tells her that Zoe was exposed to whatever is in the bunker, she is deeply shaken. As Carter and Thorne form a tentative alliance to save Zoe, Hendricks' canisters activate and seal them in the bunker. Eureka Season 3 Episode 7 → Video - Tv SerialsHere Comes the Suns  The race is on to find a new mayor. Thorne endorses Dr. Herrera; Fargo is backing Vincent; and Zoe is campaigning for Lucas. Unfortunately, Zoe's political activism leads her to abandon her science project partner, Kylie, with unexpected results. While the candidates play politics, Thorne shows Allison a new chemical that Zane has developed. It will keep you cool under even the hottest of temperatures. Thorne professes friendship but will not tell Allison what she hopes to find in an old bunker. While Allison seeks the records that might reveal the truth, Zane and Carter develop old security camera footage and discover part of the secret. During an all-candidates meeting at Cafe Diem, standard civic issues take a back seat to a uniquely Eurekan problem when a second sun erupts and settles above the town. Zane and Allison quickly realize that someone created the orb but who, and why? Herrera is a suspect because of his ability to manipulate clouds but the real culprit turns out to be totally unexpected and completely non-political. The candidates, in the meantime, try to turn the 24/7 heat wave to their advantage. Zoe flogs sunscreen to potential Lucas voters while a strangely cool Vincent and Fargo offer iced drinks. Carter, Allison and Zane enter the secret bunker to see if something within is fueling the fiery phenomenon. They find no fuel source; just a disturbing mystery and a defiant Eva Thorne. When it becomes clear that the pseudo-sun is about to detonate, Zane and Carter see one desperate chance to destroy it but they will have to get dangerously close. Eureka Season 3 Episode 03 → Video - Tv SerialsBest in Faux  Carter is proud that Zoe has been invited into the accelerated physics program. Zoe fears she will have no life but physics. Zoe is not the only one feeling pressured. The annual dog show is coming up and, as Jo Lupo tells Carter, competition is ruthless. The dogs are biomimetic and the prize goes to the inventor who can build the most life-like entry. Carol Taylor's Fifi was Best in Show for the last two years. She wants a third win but faces serious competition from Dr. Anne Young and Thunder. When the dogs meet, Fifi falls apart, literally. Surprisingly, Eva Thorne wants Carter to investigate this mishap. While Jo and Carter investigate a possible lab break-in, the building shakes violently. Oddly, only Carter experiences this earthquake. Later, Allison tells him an earthquake in Eureka is virtually impossible. Fargo suggests Carter check with Dr. Hood, Eureka's retired geologist, about the apparent quake. Initially, Hood is dubious, but later he erupts out of Main St. in his tunneler and says pressure is building somewhere beneath Eureka. He begins to investigate as Carter goes back to the destroyed-dog case and immediately finds a second biomimetic victim. Another earthquake brings Allison, in the midst of her wedding preparations, and Carter to a field where Dr. Hood correctly predicts a mud geyser. Now even Stark concedes the existence of a magma pocket under the town. Eureka Season 3 Episode 2 → Video - Tv Serials"What about Bob"  Nathan Stark and Allison Blake, annoyed by Eva Thorne's budget cuts, are baffled when they see the costly new lab she has created for Zane Donovan until she explains that corporate sponsorships will cover the set-up and that discoveries will make it profitable. Jack Carter is visiting Henry when he gets an urgent call from Allison. A scientist has gone missing, From a sealed biosphere. Project Director Derek Bowers explains that 10 volunteers, including the vanished Bob Nobb, have been isolated in an artificially created and maintained underground ecosystem for 11 years. Derek controls all aspects of the habitat, so, in theory, a malfunction is impossible. Carter, well aware of how much theory may mean in Eureka, insists on entering the habitat to investigate. Although that breaks protocol, Thorne agrees and insists that Allison go with him. Stark is notamused to see his future wife locked up with Carter. Once inside, Carter and Allison experience the biosphere's atmosphere, realistic right down to gentle rain made from recycled urine. While they interview the inhabitants, Fargo (Neil Grayston) tunes in to the closed-circuit TV feed at Cafe Diem where Eurekans above ground gather to enjoy the show. 1 Comment | Read More... »
